Welcome to the home page for Supporting Roma Voice!
Supporting Roma Voice (SRV) is a multi-agency, practice led project, which aims to support the growth of grassroots community advocacy as part of the growth of an inclusive and engaged Roma community in the UK. Our project is developed in three UK cities: Salford, London and Sheffield. The aim of this project is to directly involve 5 people of Roma heritage who will become an articulate voice for their community and will form a strong advocacy network for the Roma migrants in the UK. Through a combination of participatory research and engagement with key services, what we want to do is support the next generation of Roma advocates and integrate their knowledge, passion and perspectives into the everyday thinking of the decision makers in their local area and on a national level.
